As a writer myself, I know how daunting it can feel to share your pages with someone else. With over 14 years of professional editing experience and 10 years of teaching experience, I know how to guide writers in making stories of all shapes and sizes clear, concise, and effective. I currently provide the following services to select clients and manuscripts:
A critique is an expert opinion on your manuscript’s prospects and valuable advice on how to improve it. No actual edits are performed, but instead I’ll read your manuscript and provide synthesized, detailed overall feedback. This is a great starting point if you aren’t quite sure what services you need.
A line-by-line copy edit of your early draft, including revisions for language issues and advice on content. This is the most common editing service I provide, and the level of editing can range depending on the project, the budget, and the client’s specifics needs.
A careful review of your final draft to get it ready to submit for agent querying or self-publication (for book-length manuscripts) and for publication (for shorter works, i.e., articles, short stories, essays).
